We are big fans of Hollywood and Vine. It is a character buffet meal, and the only one of it’s kind in Hollywood Studios. Located by Echo Lake it is a popular destination with a large variety of character’s. How does it compare to other Hollywood Studio’s restaurants? How is the buffet? What characters will you see? Let’s take a look below.

☆Prices
Prices for breakfast vary to lunch and dinner. You will pay $42 per adult and $27 per under 9 for breakfast and $55/$36 for dinner. You also have the option of Fantasmic seating for about $10 more per adult. These guarentee seating in a designated area to watch the Fantasmic firework show. (Although you can get a fast pass or decent seat if you arrive early enough)

☆Food
The food is very average for a character buffet. It’s on par with Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom) and Garden Grill (Epcot). We do prefer the food at Tusker House (Animal Kingdom) however. You will find the usual selection of carved meats, chicken, seafood, salad and sweets (Dinner). And Omelettes, meats, pancakes, waffles, pastries and fruits (Breakfast). If you aren’t here for the characters, we recommend looking elsewhere for food. (We love 50’s Prime Time which is on Echo Lake too)

☆Characters
This is where the restaurant steps apart from the rest. It has seasonally changing looks for characters (Mickey and friends only). At Breakfast and Lunch you will meet and dine exclusively with Disney Junior Characters. Including Vampirina, Sophia the First  Doc Mcstuffins and Roadster Goofy. They’ll play games and dance around like you expect of character dining.

At dinner you will meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy. While you can see these anywhere. Here you will see differently dressed characters for spring, summer, fall and winter. As well as a Halloween option. Also some food items and decor will change for the season. So you could come here at 4 different times of the year and have a different experience.

In summary we must conclude that food wise, this is not worth your money. Unfortunatly HS is our least favourite park for restaurants. But at least Sci Fi and definitley 50’s Prime are better. But if you want to tick some characters off your autograph list in one hit or get pics with these exclusivley costumed characters then you’re gonna want to give it a go.

What are your thoughts if you’ve eaten here? Were we too harsh?

Which characters would you most like to see if you haven’t been?
