☆How we rated the 50’s Prime Time Menu☆

We eat here every time we vacation at WDW. It has become a tradition with great food and even better service and atmosphere. Before we get to the food the theme of the restaurant deserves a shout out. We love how the restaurant is split into many little rooms grouped into 3 or 4 tables. Little tv in the corner playing clips of old tv shows (look out for some Disney). It really feels like Mom’s kitchen, although good luck getting to the restroom and back. It’s a maze.

The servers give this place it’s reputation. They are over the top funny and in constant character. Their not just servers they’re actors! They’ll tell you to get your elbows off the table, make you set the table and even make you eat your veggies (literally!!! No joke). Servers differ on how into character they get but we always have an amazing time. I now always try to play on it by being “bad” like a naughty kid at the table, they always have a Come back. Seriously, best servers in all of Disney. Fact!

Ok onto the food. Here we are going to rate the mains and desserts, available currently. There’s a few appetizers but we don’t always get them, especially on a dining plan as they aren’t included any more. So let’s do it, here are our star ratings for each dish (yes we’ve had them all, many times.)

☆Mains
•Sampler of Moms Favourite Recipes – Golden Fried Chicken, Fork Tender Pork Pot Roast, Meatloaf plus trimmings ☆☆☆☆☆

•Cousin Megans Meatloaf – Beef and Pork blend topped with tomato glaze with mash potatoes and greens. ☆☆☆☆☆

•Mom’s Old Fashioned Potroast – Slow cooked tender pork, garlic mash, juliene carrots, gravy ☆☆☆☆

•Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken – Garlic mash, veggies, gravy ☆☆☆

•Caesar Salad Chicken/Salmon – Romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, parmesan, croutons. ☆☆

☆Desserts

There we have it. You can’t go wrong with a 3 dish platter. Best of all worlds and that choc peanut layer cake is amazing!
