☆Disneyland’s 65 Most Replicated Attractions☆
To celebrate 65 Years of Disneyland Resort. We are going to honor it with a mega coutndown. The Top 65 Replicated Attractions at Disneyland. These will include moving and walk through rides. It won’t include forms of transportation, fireworks, shows or character meet and greets. (Maybe In another feature). Oh and you may see some attractions that have sadly been left to Disney history. A small handful appeared in other parks first, we have chosen to include them as the vast majority are Disneyland originals.
Now lists like these are nearly always down to personal preference of the author. So in this instance we are going to try to work with some fairness to the attractions. The countdown will work Least to Most and we will rank attractions based on how many times they have been replicated in some form in the other Disney parks (regardless if they still run or not) around the world. For attractions that are tied we will then step in and make the final call.
We hope you enjoy this; it’s been a lot of fun to make. If you disagree with any ranking absolutely let us know in the comments. Ok, are you ready? Let’s go…
•65•Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
•64•Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
•63•Luigi’s Flying Tires
•62•Sailing Ship Columbia
•61•Adventure Thru Inner Space
•59•Alice in Wonderland
•58•Silly Symphony Swings
•57•Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
•56•Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree
•55•Goofy’s Sky School
•54•Grizzly River Run
•51•Radiator Springs Racers
Some tough calls higher up the list. We went for the most thrilling rides at the top. Pixar Pal around so nearly got top spot for being an icon but we do prefer the ride experiences of the top 3 here. Now onto Disneyland rides you’ll find elsewhere.
•49•Carousel of Progress
•48•Storybook Land Canal Boats
•47•The Casey Jr. Circus Train
•45•Chip ‘n Dale’s Treehouse
•43•Mission to Mars
•41•Gadget’s Go Coaster
•40•Indiana Jones Adventure
•39•Monsters Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue
•37•Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
•36•Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
•35•The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
•34•Millennium Falcon – Smugglers Run
•33•Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Against this list it’s hard not to put Star Wars big guns at the top. Past these we love Ariels adventure and are filled with nostalgia riding Mr Toad and Roger Rabbit. There’s some icons coming up now in rides that are found in 3 locations.
•32•Country Bear Jamboree
•31•Tom Sawyer Island
•27•Enchanted Tiki Room
•26•Star Wars Launch Bay
•25•King Arthur Carrousel
•24Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
•23•The Haunted Mansion
•22•Toy Story Midway Mania!
This ride packs a punch with iconic attractions so many it was so hard to sort them. But they all sit in the shadow of Splash Mountain, perhaps Disneylands most icon ride. Our personal favourite on this list.
•20•Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition
•19•Mark Twain Riverboat
•17•The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
•16•Snow White’s Scary Adventures
•14•Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
•11•The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror/ Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout
With every list this gets harder, any of the past 7 could have topped this section. We so nearly put Star Tours top, but it’s already heavily represented and the Tower of Terror really is one if the most unique rides of all time. Now on to rides so iconic they appear at FIVE parks around the world. And with it our TOP 10.
•10•Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes
•8•Mad Tea Party
•7•It’s a Small World
•6•Peter Pan’s Flight
•4•Pirates of the Caribbean
3 all time icons appear here with Small World, Space Mountain and Pirates. Peter Pan slipped in just because it’s visually amazing a unique experience. If this was a list of most iconic rides Pirates would surely come top, many times replicated and it spawned a box office smash franchise. But would you belive even these icons come up short as a select few hold residence at ALL 6 resorts around the world.
•2•Dumbo the Flying Elephant
•1•Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Anyone who ever visited Disney as a kid probably has their first ride on Dumbo, that’s why it pips Astro Orbiter, despite it’s size, they are basically the same ride. However our number one is a ride i don’t think anybody doesn’t enjoy. We guarantee this ride has been riden more than any, with access at all 6 parks. Wether you are from America, Europe or Asia. You know what it’s like firing with everything you’ve got to beat the high scores!
And with that we are compelte. A surprising list with some big guns coming up short, surely they need to be adapted into more parks? We are sure there will be debate on this rundown but we can all agree on one thing. Nobody does Theme Park Attractions like Disney!
