There is another petition out, this time asking for Splash Mountain to be redeveloped due to connotations linking to the movie Song of the South. The film has long since been controversial and with everything going on people are concerned the ride needs to change with the times too.
We here at comexplorers love the ride, it is one of the most iconic features of our Disney trip. However the best bits are the suspense and the drops. Changing the theme wouldn’t change this. So we are all for it and actually it would rejuvenate the ride and attract more people.
