Disneyland California have announced their plans to reopen resorts and parks in July. Proposed dates are
July 9th: Downtown Disney
July17: Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park
July 23rd Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Paradise Pier Hotel.
It’s interesting to note that while Downtown is opening first, similar to Disney Springs. In a change from WDW, the parks are opening before the resorts.
As expected there will be extra measures for cleanliness and social distancing.
Like WDW they will follow a reservation for all guests and annual passholders. And putting a hold on all ticket and annual pass sales, and renewals.
We expect to see the same measures for social distancing, masks cleaning etc across the parks and resorts as has been the case with other park and resort openings.
Events like parades and fireworks will not be running until further notice. Character meet and greats won’t happen in the usual manor but Disneyland say they will still have characters appearing in new ways.
Again Disneyland are making it clear that you visit at your own risk and there is the chance you could catch COVID-19 while there.
This is all pretty standard at this point. Disneyland will likely follow all the procedures of Disney World and Shanghai Disneyland who opened before.
We will update once we get further news and details.
