Guidance for Disney Springs Reopening

In this feature we are going to update you with all the latest from Disney Springs re-opening. The first of Walt Disney Worlds locations to open their doors to guests once again.

Disney Springs re-opened May 20th. Nearly a two months before the others parks are due to open in July. This should give them plenty of practice and guidance to handle guest and crowds with social distancing in their ground, shops and restaurants. Obviously the numbers in the parks will be far higher but this will give a good indication of what is to come else where.

It is worth noting that when visiting Disney Springs (and presumably the parks) Disney will not take responsibility if you contract COVID-19, you visit at your own risk.

Closing Time: Disney Springs is operating a closing time of 7pm until further notice. This is to comply with Orange County’s 10pm curfew, giving cast members and guest time to travel home.

Parking: Orange and Green garages open ONLY. No ground parking. Once these garages are full guests will not be able to park and visit Disney Springs.

Entry: Guest will only have access via the Orange and Green garages, Hotel Plaza Pedestrian bridge and the ride share location.

Screening: When entering the above you will get a contact less forehead temperature check. If you or anyone in your party have a temperature of 100.4F or above your entire party will be denied entry and directed to further screening.

Cast Members are being screened at home before entry to Disney Springs is allowed.

Face masks: Guests 2 and up must keep nose and mouth covered at all times (Except when Dining). With a secure, breathable mask/covering provided by themselves. Disney Springs will not provide these for you. If you do not have a mask you will not be admitted.

Barriers: Perspex barriers may appear at counter/cashier areas to protect when social distancing cannot be adhered to.

Cashless/Mobile order: These are recommended but at this time not enforced.

Dining: You may still make dining reservations, however if parking garages are full you will not be admitted to Disney Springs, you will not be charged for missing the reservation.

Signage/Markings: When visiting you will clearly see signage and floor markings helping you to maintain social distancing especially when in line for a store/restaurant.

Cleanliness: Additional cleaning of hand rails, door handles, rest rooms, elevators and escalators has been implemented. You will find numerous hand sanitation around the property

All staff with have undergone screening and further training to best help you during your visit and better adhere to the above measures. There will be dedicated cast members to help guests with the new measures. Including Storm Troopers (See below).

Disney cast members understand the severity of the situation, but equally still want you to have an enjoyable experience when visiting. One of the ways of enforcing this is with Storm Troopers who you may see on your visit. The will be patrolling and calling out warnings to those getting to close or not following the rules as only Storm troopers can do.

Below is an update of what is Open in Disney Springs. Check the Disney Springs website for updated openings. At the time of posting bars only, will not be open. NBA Experience and Splitsville and The Void will also remain closed.
